The first 24 hours after surgery

  • Apply an ice pack or bag of frozen peas, surrounded by a damp towel, 20 minutes every hour, which will slow swelling.
  • Drink cold liquids.
  • Be at complete rest.

During the first week after surgery

  • No strenuous physical activity, only light activities are recommended.
  • The diet must be soft. It is recommended during the first week to avoid eating hard or grainy like nuts, popcorn, dry cereal or anything that could become lodged in the wound.
  • Avoid spicy or hot food.

During the first week after surgery

  • No chewing on the side of the intervention.
  • A light brushing at the grafted site and for other normal brushing teeth.
  • Apply locally with cutips the mouthwash containing chlorhexidine were you prescribed every morning and evening.
  • Do not smoke.
  • The sutures will be removed after one month.
